Scholarships

Alabama Automotive Manufacturers Association (AAMA)
AAMA has established scholarships for individuals pursuing an automotive manufacturing education at two-year colleges in Alabama.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Alabama resident
  • High school graduate, high school senior graduating in Spring 2008, or GED recipient
  • Planning to pursue automotive manufacturing career in Alabama
  • Enrolled in or planning to enroll in an Alabama public two-year college in an eligible program during 2008-09 academic year
  • Enrolled in at least two courses (6 hours) under the eligible program CIP code for each semester covered by the scholarship
  • Online applications can be found at http://resadmin.uah.edu/aama/scholarship by February 28, 2009 for Fall semester.
  • To maintain the scholarship, the student must maintain an overall grade point average of 2.5, a grade point average of 3.0 in his/her major.  Recipient must participate in cooperative education and placement must be in the automotive manufacturing industry.

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR SCHOLARSHIP RENEWALS

        GPA 2.5 overall (on scale of 4.0)
        GPA 3.0 in major
